Elementary Student of the Week

"Bruce loves to talk. He will tell you anything you would ever need to know about, Pikman, Pokémon, Legend of Zelda, Stardew Valley, and Kirby. He also loves playing all of those games.

His favorite food is all about Corn, Corn on the cob, Pop Corn, and Corn Dogs.

He loves to hold people accountable for being late, probably because he is also always late.

He is the kindest person to meet though, always telling people to have a good day and making sure that he says hi. We love having Bruce in our class!"

Rachael P.

I am excited to recognize Rachael. Rachael is a hard-working 12th grade student in my Study Skills class who has shown incredible perseverance and determination. Over the past several months, Rachael has worked tirelessly to recover the credits needed for graduation, consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to her goals.

What stands out most is her willingness to put in extra time and effort, ask for help when needed, and stay focused despite challenges. Rachael has shown tremendous growth. It has been inspiring to watch her progress, and I am confident she will continue to succeed beyond graduation. This recognition is well deserved!

Lauren S.

We are honestly so proud of Lauren.

Watching her get to this point has been something really special. She didn’t just finish… she earned it. She stayed committed, kept pushing through, and showed up for herself every step of the way, even when things weren’t easy.

What makes it even more meaningful is everything she balances outside of school. Lauren is a cheerleader, a cheer coach, and she works, all while still making time to volunteer and give back to others. That takes a lot of responsibility, heart, and strength. She shows up not just for herself, but for her team and her community too.

And now, all of that hard work is opening new doors. Lauren has been recruited to cheer for California State University Northridge, which is such an amazing accomplishment and so well deserved.

That says so much about who she is.

Lauren’s journey is something to be proud of, not just because she reached her goal, but because of how she got there. With effort, consistency, and a lot of determination.

Lauren, we are truly so proud of you and everything you’ve accomplished. You did this. And we can’t wait to see what you do next.

(Nominated by Lissette Hunt)
