CES Weekly Communicator

Good afternoon, Chapelfield families.

Today, we ended our week with our April PAWS breakfast for Acting Responsibly. It was nice to see our students receive that reward and have families join us to celebrate. In addition, the staff recognized Mrs. Pritt, Miss Weimer, and Mrs. Sheraw for Adopting a Growth Mindset. We are incredibly proud of our students and staff.

In addition, we had our second tornado drill. This practice is important especially given the unpredictable weather in Ohio. Students were able to shelter in place in under 5 minutes.

This week was special because we had OSU and Capital students work with a few grade levels to educate students about career options in nursing and aerospace engineering. It was certainly a busy week at Chapelfield!

We hope you enjoy your Spring Break with your children. They have been working hard! They need a chance to rest and relax.

April is designated Month of the Military Child to honor the contributions and sacrifices of our military families.

Show your support for all military kids by wearing purple on National Purple Up Day, our first day back from spring break on April 15, 2024.

The Heart and Pride Award recognizes two outstanding staff members each month who make a profound impact on our students and Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.

The Heart & Pride Nomination Form will remain available year-round and is open to any member of our staff, regardless of position.
