Dear Duval Families!

It has been an important tradition at Duval to commemorate Veteran's Day. We will be doing so with a solemn ceremony on Monday, Nov. 10th at 10:20am. Rain date is Wednesday, the 12th at 10:20am. We eagerly invite all veterans to our ceremony. Parents, grandparents, extended family are all welcome.

A reminder that we have set up a great Snack and Dinners Food Bank here at Duval. If you need help, please click HERE or email Ms. Craig to let us know. All info is kept confidential!

Looking a bit further ahead, we are gearing up for this year's Basket Raffle. It is one of the most important events for the PTO each year and, as such, is key to keeping great things happening at school. Please see the flyers below and support this important fundraiser.

Reminder that there is no school on Tuesday. Don't forget to hit up Wicked Loft that day!

Each year, we celebrate Veteran's Day with a quiet assembly at the flagpole. This year's gathering will be at 10:20am on Monday, the 10th, weather permitting. Rain date is Wednesday, the 12th at 10:20am. If you or any family members are veterans, we would love to have you join us as honored guests. Please let Dr. Marcus know if anyone from your family can make it.

We are incredibly fortunate to have world renowned author and illustrator, Peter Reynolds, coming to Duval on Dec. 11th to visit with K-2, and then 3-5 in two smaller assemblies. Peter will read from one of his books, do a drawing demo, and have kids try out their own skills. We are also offering SIGNED copies of one of Peter's books. Please see the order form below. Many thanks to our PTO for sponsoring this once in a lifetime event!

11/11 7a-3p: Duval is partnering with Wicked Loft for our November local business partnership. Visit anytime from 7-3 on Tuesday 11/11 and mention Duval. Share photos from your visit or of your order and be entered to win some bonus raffle tickets! See flyer for more details!

11/21 6p @ Whitman VFW: Basket Raffle 2025 is officially next week! Students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for classroom baskets during their library class the week of 11/17. If you have an active CORI and would like to assist with raffle ticket sales sign up here:

We will have over 100 raffle prizes and 21 live auctions in addition to our classroom baskets, scratch ticket and Celtics ticket grand prizes and our 50/50 raffle.
