Hello Graham Families!

We had another great week of getting to know one another and continuing to build strong classroom communities here at Graham! It has been wonderful to see our students settling into their routines, making connections, and building relationships with their teachers and classmates.

This year, we are excited to be participating in a program called Capturing Kids’ Hearts. Our entire staff has been trained in this program, which focuses on building strong relationships, creating positive classroom environments, and helping students feel connected and supported at school. I am linking the Capturing Kids’ Hearts family newsletter below so that you can learn more about the program and participate right along with us at home. We are very excited to bring this work to our Graham school community!

I also want to take a moment to thank our entire school community for coming together during the severe storm that moved through our area at dismissal on Thursday. Our staff immediately jumped into action to keep students and families safe as we sheltered in place and waited for the storm to pass. I am incredibly grateful to our staff for remaining calm and focused on the safety of our students, and I also want to thank the parents and family members who were here and helped support not only their own children, but others as well.

Situations like this remind us just how important it is to work together as a school community. Our staff will be debriefing the situation together and reviewing our procedures to identify anything we can do to be even better prepared should we experience a similar situation in the future.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and trust during an unexpected and stressful situation. I am very proud of the way our Graham Huskies came together to take care of one another.

Snack cart will be available every TUESDAY and FRIDAY during all lunch periods. The 5th grade students run this to support their CAMP FUNDS. Young 5 and Kindergarten students get the SNACK CART in the morning instead of at lunch time.

9/16 PTA Meet and Greet 6:30 pm Graham Cafeteria-Dinner will be provided!!!

There are some days when the menu could possibly change due to food items not being available. We will let the students know if there are changes as soon as we find out.

PLEASE fill out a background check if you plan to volunteer at ALL this year in your child's classroom or on a field trip. THIS MUST BE DONE EVERY YEAR!!!! We cannot accept background checks from LAST school year.
