Parklane Elementary is Making Progress!
The California Dashboard data was just released for all schools in the state of California, and I am excited to share that Parklane Elementary School is showing lots of growth and progress!
While there is still so much more progress to be made, take a moment to celebrate the steady growth of our students at Parklane Elementary School... OUR STUDENTS ARE LEARNING!
Our school site also saw a SIGNIFICANT decline in student suspension over the last year while Parklane still maintained high expectations for student behaviors. This is so important because in order for our students to be learning, all of our classrooms need to maintain high expectations for what that learning environment looks like and functions like. You can continue to support us at the school with this by talking to your child about what behavior expectations should look like at school, and we appreciate your support if we ever need to call you to share concerns for your student's behavior.
The last piece of data that I want to bring up relates to an area that our school site's "Chronic Absenteeism." This refers to any student that misses more than 10% of school (or 18 days of school) throughout the year. Although our site did not show greater absenteeism, it is important to note that 42% of our students at Parklane were considered chronically absent over the past year.
We need your help! Please do everything that you possibly can to ensure that your students arrive to school on time every day. This will help to support their overall wellness and growth in school!

Phones down, heads up. Creating connections in the classroom.
As we settle back into the routines of school, please help us remind your children that their phones should be put away during school. During school hours, campuses are a "no phone zone" and students will be expected to keep their phones off and put away.
This initiative is designed to support a more focused learning environment while encouraging real, in-person connection outside of the digital world. For more information and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit www.lodiusd.net/be-present.
