Nichols Navigator News #15

Hello Navigators,

I hope everyone had a good 3 day weekend. We have one more week of school and then we will be off for Thanksgiving break. On Friday of this week our First graders will perform for their families beginning at 9:20 in the MPR.

Our Apex Fun Run was a huge success. Through all of your support $20,856 was raised for Nichols. This will help with 5th grade camp, grade level field trips and so much more. Check out this fact sheet about the program and thanks so much for the support.

For our 5th grade camp we met on Wednesday to brainstorm fundraising ideas to help offset the cost for families. We will hold some dinner nights out, special sales and more to help get all our fifth graders to camp. Soon we will be sending permission slips and hold another informational meeting. Stay tuned for more information.

Our School Site Council will meet on Tuesday morning at 7:30 AM to review and approve our School Plan for Student Achievement. (SPSA). Even if you are not on the council you can still attend. Following is a Google Meet Link should you choose to join virtually. meet.google.com/zbs-bvok-jfu

Each year we create a Family Engagement Policy and approve through School Site Council to promote collaboration between home and school. Here is this years policy. Spanish

Through School Site Council we also approve a Home/School Compact outlining the different roles we take to support student learning. Here is the Home/School Compact. Spanish

We are looking forward to a great week.
