PSAT

The PSAT / NMSQT will be administered at Cedar Shoals on Thursday, October 22nd. The school will register all sophomore students to take the exam. There is no cost for sophomores. Study materials can be found here.

Families of students with 504 Plans, IEPs, or ESOL services who would like to request accommodations for the PSAT should complete the accommodations request form by August 31, 2026. Please note that having an IEP or 504 Plan does not automatically qualify a student for accommodations on College Board assessments. All accommodation requests are reviewed by the College Board, which makes the final decision to approve or deny each request. Calling Juniors and Seniors! Serve on Dr. Scott's Student Advisory Council!

Would you like to learn more about the Clarke County School District and help implement improvement ideas? Superintendent Dr. Scott invites all 11th- and 12th- grade students to participate in this year’s Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. This opportunity is a great way to develop your leadership skills, meet students from across the district, and share your perspective as a CCSD student. This year’s council will also have a chance to refine and implement ideas on how to improve the district in key areas identified by last year’s council. The Council will meet four times during the school day (third block) with CCSD transportation provided to the Board of Education office. The first meeting takes place Tuesday, September 22.

All students are invited to apply; the application is a brief online questionnaire. We encourage you to represent Cedar Shoals on this council! The application is due Friday, September 4.

Chromebook Reminder: Be PREPARED!

Students should bring their Chromebook and charger to school every day, fully charged and ready to use. Remember, high school students keep the same Chromebook and charger for all four years and are responsible for taking care of them.

This month’s Jaguar P.R.I.D.E. focus is PREPARED, and the library will award Spotlight Points to students who arrive with a fully charged, functioning Chromebook!

Need a loaner? Loaner Chromebooks must be checked out from the library BEFORE school. Students may not leave class to check out a loaner.

Please review the Chromebook Responsibility Letter for complete information.

Transportation- Plan Accordingly!

Student Parking:

Student parking permits are now on sale for the 2026–27 school year for $30. Seniors have priority parking spot selection through August 28, although all licensed student drivers may purchase permits now.

All students with a valid driver’s license as of September 2 must purchase a permit by September 2. Towing will be enforced after this date. All vehicles parked on campus must be registered and display a valid Cedar Shoals parking permit.

To Purchase a Permit:

  1. Complete the Parking Pass Request Form. You will need a valid driver’s license (no learner’s permits), vehicle tag receipt, proof of insurance, and a parent/guardian signature.
  2. Pay the $30 fee through the form or the Cedar Shoals Online Payment Portal.
  3. Pick up your decal from Mrs. Link in the front office two days after your application and payment are completed. You must bring your driver’s license, vehicle tag receipt, and proof of insurance in person.

Students who receive their license after September 2 may purchase a permit at any time during the school year but must complete the application and payment process before parking on campus.

Bus Information:

Please make sure that your child knows their bus number and bus route. Each bus has been assigned a bus route. Students and families can access bus route information at this link. Additional transportation information can be found on the school district's website here.
