SILVER FOX NEWS
May 1, 2026
Happy School Principal’s Day to our very own, Mrs. Lindsay Lennon!
We are thankful for her leadership and commitment to our students and staff each and every day!
We appreciate all that you do — not just today, but all year long!
Thank you to our Kindness Club for making her feel special this morning with a personalized gift basket and to SCA students who selected her fit for the day!
Today we celebrated School Lunch Hero Day at TOMS, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible cafeteria staff under the direction of Savanah Starr-Barker, who keep everything running behind the scenes.
Thank you for the early mornings, the long hours, and the care you put into every meal you serve. You do so much more than prepare food—you create a welcoming space for our students and make sure they’re fueled and ready to learn each day.
The Cafeteria Staff were treated to lunch from Jersey Mike's and the Kindness Club made each of them a special gift! Your hard work, kindness, and dedication don’t go unnoticed. We appreciate everything you do for our school community. Happy School Lunch Hero Day!
Congratulations
Congratulations to Mrs. Michele Stimpson, our TOMS Staff Member of the Week! She was nominated by Mrs. Kristi Magrini-Hunt.
Mrs. Stimpson is a LPN 1:1 at TOMS and this is her 2nd year here.
My favorite memory of middle school... making some life long friends.
My advice to my middle school self would be... don't worry so much, everything works out!
We were so excited to surprise and celebrate Mrs. Heather Heath today on her last day! 💐
After 46 years in the workforce, the past 23 years in HCS, and 7 of those here at TOMS, her last work day has arrived!
She shared, “I will miss ALL of you, but not the work. Keep up the good fight, Silver Foxes!”
We surprised her with a rocking chair to relax in during the next chapter, and Mrs. Keisler provided a small reception in the library in her honor.
Thank you for all the dedication, kindness, and impact you’ve shared—you will truly be missed in our library and school. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter! ✨
Congratulations to Our Tech Fair Winners!
We are incredibly proud of all the students who participated in this year’s Tech Fair. Your creativity, innovation, and hard work truly stood out!

Amazing job to all our winners and participants—keep pushing the boundaries of technology and creativity!
We could not have done this without the guidance and support of Mr. Robinette —thank you for helping make this event a success!
Our Science Club members had a blast at this year's Earth Day at the Bay celebration at Ocean Bay Middle School !
The Ten Oaks crew had a great time making crafts out of recycled materials, and 8th grader Abigail Miksa wowed visitors with her beautiful Henna tattoos.
What an awesome day celebrating our planet and showcasing our students’ creativity and talent!
TOMS and OBMS Student Council students had an incredible three days in our nation’s capital! Students and chaperones explored the Smithsonian museums and zoo, toured the Capitol building, visited countless monuments, and spent plenty of time walking, learning, and making memories together. A highlight of the trip was our visit to Arlington National Cemetery, where we witnessed the powerful Changing of the Guard ceremony.
We’re also proud to share that our tour guide told us our student group was one of the best she has ever had!
A special thank you to our student council advisor, Mrs. Ashley Klopfer, for organizing such a meaningful and inspiring experience for our students. The trip was an absolute success - nothing less!
Next week is Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week at TOMS! We invite our community, students, and families to join us in celebrating our incredible teachers and staff.
It’s going to be a SunSational Week as we continue to Shine in Year Nine! ☀️
Be sure to check out the attached flyer to see simple ways you, your family, and our Silver Fox community can help make each day a little brighter for our teachers and staff. Let’s show them just how much they are appreciated and cared for,
as they take care of our students each and every day.
Success—Nothing Less!
Thanks,
Lindsay Lennon, Principal

BUS
Dear TOMS Parents/Guardians,
In an effort to minimize classroom disruptions and maintain a focused learning environment, we are implementing a few new procedures effective immediately:
Lunch Drop-Offs
If a student’s lunch is dropped off at the front office, it will be placed on a designated cart near the security desk.
Students will not be called out of class to pick up their lunch.
Please remind your child to check the cart if they realize they do not have their lunch.
Other Item Drop-Offs
If other items (e.g., forgotten computers, books, clothing, etc.) are delivered for a student, an email will be sent to the teacher of the class the student is currently attending.
Teachers will check their email regularly throughout the day so students can receive their items in a timely manner.
Changes in Dismissal
Any changes to your child’s transportation home should be communicated prior to your student arriving at school.
Dismissal changes cannot be made over the phone after 2:00 PM to allow sufficient time to notify both the teacher and student.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
