SOARing Into the Week!
Hello Riverview Families!
What an amazing first week of school at Riverview! It has been so wonderful to have our classrooms, hallways, playground, and cafeteria filled with Falcons again. There has been so much excitement, learning, and positive energy throughout our building!
This first week has been all about building relationships, creating classroom communities, learning routines and expectations, and practicing what it means to SOAR as a Riverview Falcon. Our students have worked hard learning how to be Safe, Own their actions, Act kindly, and Reach for their best in all areas of our school. These first few weeks are so important as we build the foundation for a successful year together.
I am incredibly proud of our students and thankful for our staff who have worked hard to make this first week welcoming, positive, and fun. Thank you also to our families for your patience and flexibility as we settle into routines, especially during lunch, arrival, and dismissal. Things are already getting smoother and quicker each day!
We are off to a wonderful start, and I cannot wait to see all of the learning, growth, friendships, and memories ahead of us this year. One week down and an entire year of opportunities ahead. Letβs keep SOARing, Falcons!

Visitor Management System
Student and staff safety is always our top priority. Riverview will continue using the Visitu Visitor Management System this year, following district safety guidelines. All visitors must check in through the office with a valid photo ID. The ID will be scanned into the system and a visitor sticker with your photo will be printed. This sticker must be worn and visible at all times while in the building.
For the safety of everyone, no visitor will be allowed in the building without a valid ID. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to maintain a secure learning environment for our Falcons.

π΅ New State Law: Personal Electronic Devices at School
Beginning this school year, a new Kansas law prohibits students from using or accessing personal electronic devices during the school day while on school property. This includes cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, wireless earbuds, smart glasses, and similar devices. Devices should be powered off and put away from the start of the school day until dismissal.
Please help us by discussing this new expectation with your child before school begins. Students may always use a school phone if they need to contact a parent during the day. Families should also be aware that USD 232 is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal devices brought to school.
Thank you for partnering with us as we implement this new state requirement and continue to provide a focused, distraction-free learning environment for all students.
