Message from the Principals
Hello Everyone,
Summer is almost here. We can't believe this is our final full week of school. Students are working hard still as well as enjoying many fun activities and field trips.
Fitfest and 4th grade Field Day are this week. Students will enjoy many outdoor activities during these wildly anticipated events.
We will miss our grade 4 students and look forward to meeting our new kindergarteners. On June 9th, we will be hosting our kindergarten tours for families.
On another note, we would like to share that Nurse V has accepted the position of RN at CHS starting Fall of 2025. Please join us in congratulating her on this new opportunity. Nurse V has made a tremendous impact on our students, staff, and community and is now ready to take on a new challenge at the high school level. While we will really miss her and her humor and dedication to our students and South Row, we wish her the very best. We would also like to welcome our new nurse, Heather Martin, who is coming from Lawrence Public Schools. We have included some information about Heather below.
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson
Request from Mrs. C in the Art Room!
Starting Monday June 2 - Please send a bag with your student to art class to take home their artwork. A grocery bag or a tote bag would be great. It has to fit a 12"x18" folder but can stick out of the top. A paper grocery bag works the best. There might be some additional work coming home the week after but no need for a bag for that.
Thanks for supporting the visual arts!!
Fitness for Cure Fundraiser
As a school we raised $1133 for St Jude Children’s Hospital. Thank you to the many staff members and families who donated this year.

Family Survey - PLEASE COMPLETE!
Dear Chelmsford Families,
Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying The Chelmsford Public Schools families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district's effectiveness. We also want to better understand barriers to families accessing our schools and programs. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2025 Family Survey as we did in 2023 and 2024 as well. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses anonymous. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be.
You may complete the survey online between Thursday May 1st and Friday June 13th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website below: https://surveys.panoramaed.com/chelmsfordma/family25/surveys
If you have multiple CPS school-aged children, please feel free to fill out multiple surveys to represent each individual child’s experience. The first question on the survey will be a dropdown to select which school you are filling the survey out for.
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact your building Principal.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Message from Mrs. Brown
Fit Fest Message from Mrs. Brown: Our whole school Fit Fest is Wednesday June 11th! The weather so far looks great. Students are assigned to teams and asked to wear their team color if possible. Have students wear sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather. We are looking forward to a fun day!
Thank you, Ms. Anna!
Ms. Anna Fagan's (Doctoral Psychology Intern) last day at South Row is Friday, June 13. Dr. Brogan and our staff extend their heartfelt gratitude to Anna for her dedication to the South Row students and families. Ms. Anna has tirelessly helped Dr. Brogan with many assessments this year as well! We wish her all the best as she continues her doctoral degree at William James College and on her next clinical placement the Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment!
Weekly Reminders and Updates
Staff Updates
New Nurse: Heather Martin will be our new nurse in the Fall when Nurse V transitions to CHS. Ms. Martin is a Registered Nurse with almost 11 years of nursing experience—including 9 years in school-based health services. She is focused on providing high-quality care, supporting student well-being, and contributing positively to our educational community.
Ms. Martin also focuses on both preventive education and emergency preparedness with a goal of creating a safe and supportive school environment. Ms. Martin takes pride in building strong
relationships with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure that every child
receives the support they need to succeed.
Recurring Reminders:
- Fit Fest and Outdoor Events: Please consider applying sunscreen in the morning at home on warm/sunny days as we approach end of the year events and activities that are outdoors.
- Smartphones and Smart Watches: We strongly discourage sending your child to school with smart phones or watches. If your child brings either of these devices to school the expectation is that they are turned off and in their backpack.
- Snacks: Please remember to send your child in with a snack. The school has a very limited supply that gets depleted quickly and it is not to every students liking.
PE Reminder: Please help your child to remember to bring sneakers when they have Phys Ed. Snow boots are great for recess, but unsafe for the gymnasium. Also on PE days, I would suggest students wear T-shirts or layers so they can take their long sleeve off when they get hot. Thank you!
IIQ Help Desk Tickets: Some families have been using an unmonitored email for support with accessing the Aspen Family Portal. Instead, please use the incident IQ request form located on the CPS website under the parent drop down menu. Here is the direct link: https://chelmsford.incidentiq.com/guest/TKHNDKXH/parent-support#top .
Nurses Corner
Dear South Row,
Parents of 3rd and 4th grade students, please continue to send in updated physicals. I am preparing the 4th grade files for middle school, I want to make sure they have the most updated information possible. There are a lot of end of year activities and events coming our way. If your student has food allergies or sensitivities, please be mindful to read what the school sends out regarding events where food will be available for students.
Have a great long weekend,
Nurse V.
