Library News: Library News:

Third - sixth graders have begun a digital literacy unit. So far we’ve learned about AI, digital footprints, online privacy, cyberbullying, and stereotypes we might encounter in games and apps. Later this winter, fifth and sixth graders will demonstrate their learning through development of their own digital literacy websites.

First and second graders have worked hard to learn how we organize things in the library, and how to find the books they want by searching our online catalog. Ask them to show you how at: https://abs.goalexandria.com/search

Kindergarten has been learning about seasons through picture and nonfiction books, and following up with themed coloring or drawing activities.

Next week we’ll begin reading the first of ten books nominated for this year’s Red Clover Book Award. Students in grades K-4 will read and rate each book, then vote on which one they think should win the award. For more information go to: https://sites.google.com/view/red-clover-book-award

Summer 26 Base Camp Summer 26 Base Camp

We have been busy planning for Summer 2026 at Brownsville Base Camp. Registration for all programs opens February 1st at 8am.

We are continuing with our popular Explorer camp with 5 weekly sessions, and we are expanding our Adventurer program to 4 weeks this summer.

In addition, we are opening up our Counselor in Training (CIT) program for past campers interested in developing their leadership skills.

Contact BrownsvilleBaseCampVT@gmail.com with any questions.
