February Newsletter
February Newsletter Update
Due to inclement weather, we have been out of school this week. During this time, students have been participating in Remote Learning at home. Teachers have assigned work through Google Classroom for students to complete. We ask that parents please ensure students are completing all assigned work.
Pre-K and Kindergarten students were sent home with learning packets to complete during this time. We look forward to welcoming our students back into the building as soon as weather permits.
If parents have any questions, please reach out to teachers through ClassDojo or email. Students may also message their teachers directly in Google Classroom for assistance.

Substitute Standard Operating Procedures
To maintain consistency and minimize disruptions to instruction, Vance County Schools follow district-wide substitute procedures.
Remember to use your schoolβs ISA for the first absence request.
All absences must be entered in Frontline (Absence Management System) as soon as possible to secure coverage.
Teachers provide detailed lesson plans + classroom management information for substitutes.
Principals must orient subs with school-specific procedures and provide support as needed.
Emergency coverage must be documented + reported to HR.
Help us grow the substitute pool! Encourage qualified community members to apply through the district HR portal.
