Academy Avenue Announcements

Dear Academy Families & Friends,

Message to families...May is here!!! We have over 18 acts for the Lip Sync, which inspired this week's background for the Academy Ave Announcements. We've continued to add more and more dates to the listing below, so please continue to check this list often as dates will continue to be added as we move through May & June! Stay tuned, these next two months will move faster and faster and what seems like months will turn into weeks and days.

Math MCAS exams with grades 4 & 5 will begin the first week of May. Grade 3 will be the week after.
Thank you to all the 5th grade parents and Brian Taylor from the NSRWA that joined Academy's second annual Water Day event in Grade 5. The students learned so much about water from filtration, consumption, reduction, erosion, and how groundwater moves.
Thank you to all of the families that came out for Book Bingo!!! It was a great night and everyone was a winner...after all who doesn't love free books!
Picture Day went well. The kids looked great all dressed up. We also got a great 5th grade team photo!

AAPC News

- Join us Thursday 5/4 at 7pm for our next parent council meeting! We’ll be talking about ways to add on to the playground using the money we raised at fun run!

- Parent Council is looking for donations for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Please comment below if you can help with any of the following events:

Monday 5-8: breakfast donations (juice, muffins, paper goods, pastries, etc)

Wednesday 5-10: supply drive

- Venmo us! @AcademyAvenueParentCouncil and we'll shop for you!

- Shop at your local store and drop off to us or arrange a pickup!

We've curated a list of what teachers want! ALL SUPPLIES PURCHASED WILL BE DISTRIBUTED SO EVERY TEACHER IN THE BUILDING RECIEVES SOMETHING!

We will be adding to the list through Monday, so check back! We're asking for all donations to be delivered by 5-8 so we can organize.

Thursday 5-11: Snack day (any type of snacks or drinks would be appreciated)

Friday 5-12: drinks or chips to supplement the luncheon provided by Parent Council
