Dear Churchill Families,

I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable Spring Break! A heartfelt thank you to the over 200 parents/guardians who participated in the 5 Essentials Survey and returned the flyer for the raffle. We are excited to share that 44% of parents/guardians completed the survey—24% higher than the state requirement. Additionally, we had 97% participation from students and 80% from staff. The results will be released in October. Once again, thank you for your cooperation. Below, you’ll find a picture of the student who won the $50 VISA gift card!

As we look ahead, we only have two months of school left, and time is sure to fly by. Each school day is an important opportunity for learning, so let’s stay focused and finish the year strong!

April is a crucial month for learning, and in May, we will conduct our final benchmark assessments with STAR and F&P (Fountas and Pinnell). These assessments will help us measure the progress our students have made this year.

Please also note the following upcoming events:

  • Glow Run – April 17

  • Reading and Math Family Game Night – April 23

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Warm regards,
Mrs. Peacock

Dear Fifth Grade Families,

We are thrilled to announce an exciting event for our fifth graders as the school year draws to a close! On Tuesday June 3rd, we will be hosting an end-of-year celebration for our fifth graders to celebrate the achievements and growth of our students throughout their time at Churchill School.

To ensure that all students have the opportunity to attend and enjoy this special occasion, invitations will be based on student referral data. Students will earn points through positive referrals, demonstrating their commitment to showing Bulldog Best Behavior and contributing positively to our school community. Points will be deducted for office and classroom referrals that reflects behaviors that do not align with our school’s expectations. All students will start Monday, March 24th with 100 points. Positive referrals will earn students an additional 25 points while referrals that are earned due to physical altercation will deduct 30 points. Additionally, all other office (major) referrals will deduct 25 points and classroom (minor) referrals will deduct 10 points. To earn an invitation to the dance, students will need a total of 75 points.

Throughout the coming weeks, classroom teachers will maintain open communication with families regarding student’s behavior and progress toward earning their invitation to the dance. We encourage you to partner with us in motivating your child to exhibit their Bulldog Best Behavior in and out of the classroom. Together, we can create a supportive environment where every student feels empowered to succeed. We understand the importance of celebrating milestones and creating lasting memories for our students, and we are committed to ensuring that the end-of-the- year celebration is a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive event for all fifth graders.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Let’s make this end-of-school dance a memorable experience for our fifth graders!
