Reminders, Updates and Announcements!
Dear Parents,
I can't believe that this is my last newsletter of the year. I want to let you know what a pleasure it has been to teach your children for the past two years. It has been one of the most rewarding teaching experiences that I have ever had. Having the opportunity to watch them learn and grow over the course of two years has been remarkable. We have created quite a community, and I will miss them dearly. I have loved seeing how far they have come, and I will always remember how much this class has meant to me. Thank you for sharing your children with me and for allowing me to be a part of their educational journey. I always love to hear how my students are doing after they move on, so feel free to reach out and let me know how they are doing. I hope you and your families have a great summer and that the students will get a chance to relax and have fun. They have worked hard and have earned a break! Good luck in middle school!
Tuesday, May 28 - 5th Grade Picnic - We will be walking to Eaton Blanche Park for the 5th Grade Picnic. Please help us make our celebration picnic a success by donating food, supplies, or volunteering. Please sign up HERE to make the day extra special. Thank you!
All Chromebooks, chargers, and library books must be turned in by Wednesday, May 29. All library fines should be paid by this date as well.
Wednesday, May 29 - 5th Grade Growth and Development Presentation - A letter was sent home last week regarding presentation on physical and emotional changes that occur during adolescence that will be presented by the school nurse. Separate sessions will be held for boys and girls. If you do not want your child to participate in this presentation, you must notify the principal in writing. You can email Ms. Brambila at brambila.maricela@pusd.us. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know.
Thursday, May 30 - Room 219 Class Awards & Party - I will provide pizza and drinks for the students. Please feel free to donate additional snacks and treats. We have 24 students in our class. Students are also welcome to bring board games, cards, crafting projects, or small electronic handheld gaming devices with your permission.
Friday, May 31 - 5th Grade Promotion at 8:30 am - There is a limit of 3 adult guests per student. Students will be sent home with tickets on Tuesday, May 28. Students need to be at school at 7:45 am on the day of promotion. Dress code for the students is semi-formal or formal attire, uniforms are optional. Hoodies, sweat pants, or high heels are not allowed. Also, balloons will not be allowed in the auditorium. Students can go home with their parents after the promotion ceremony, but they must first be signed out in the office. If your child will remain in school until dismissal at 12:30 pm, they will be sent to another 5th grade class because I will be leaving early to get ready for my daughter's high school graduation.
