Eagle Lake Elementary
January Newsletter
Welcome Back!
It has been great seeing all of the students again coming from break. We hope all students and families enjoyed the time off and were able to spend time with friends and family. Students are starting to get back into their routines at school and doing a really great job!
Colder Weather
January has arrived, so we can anticipate colder temperatures coming. Please make sure students have:
- Warm Jacket
- Hat and Gloves
- Snow pants and boots when there is snow
Student Celebrations
We are trying to build Student Celebrations into our school day when we can. We have high
expectations for all of our students academically and behaviorally. Our students are doing a great job SOARing in our school.
Show Responsibility
On Task Behavior
Act Safely
Respect Others and Property
When students consistently show SOARing behavior we celebrate our accomplishments together! We are having some great Dance Parties, Maker-Space Time, and we also have a Student Run School Store for students to cash in their SOAR Slips.

We are so close to meeting our goal of $1,500 that we have decided to have a technology day this Friday, January 12th! Winter Program:
We would like to send out a thank you to all parents, family members, and friends who showed up to support our 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students during our winter music program. The students and Mrs. Goldmund did a great job!
Message from PTO:
Save your Hy-Vee receipts from both Mankato locations and they will donate $1 for every $150 spent through the Hy-Vee Kash 4 Kids program. The receipts must be dated during the current school year (Sept. 2023- May 2024) to qualify. Pharmacy and fuel purchase count as well!
