Welcome Back, McGowen Families!

Thank you for a fantastic first day of school! Our halls were filled with energy, smiles, and excitement as we kicked off a very special school year. Most importantly, we want to celebrate that every single student made it home safely on their first day!

🚗 Carpool & Dismissal Reminders

Thank you for your patience during today's dismissal. Carpool lines are always a bit slower on day one, but we promise it will get much faster as students memorize their dismissal numbers and everyone settles into their daily routines.

To help dismissal run as smoothly as possible, please keep the following in mind:

• Parent Walk-Up (Parent Pick-Up): If you chose this option, please park your car and walk up to the designated area on the side of the school by the creek. You must show your child’s dismissal number to staff at this spot to pick them up.

• Carpool Line: If you select carpool for dismissal, please stay inside your vehicle and join the carpool line.

• Walk Away: If you chose this option, your child must be able to walk home alone or with their sibling.

• Consistency is Key: Keeping a consistent daily default dismissal routine is best for your child’s comfort and confidence.

💡 Need to Change Your Dismissal? If you ever need to change your child’s dismissal plan, please scan the QR code below to submit the Google Form. This ensures the message gets directly to your child's teacher.

⏰ Cutoff Time: All dismissal changes must be submitted by 1:30 PM.

BusZone Bus Tracking App

McKinney ISD and bus provider Durham School Services have a mobile app for MISD families called BusZone. BusZone allows parents, guardians, and students to monitor the location of a particular bus and/or possible delays in a bus arriving at a specific stop. Bus Registration

Students who are eligible for bus transportation services and wish to receive bus transportation must do so when they complete their online registration.
