Wicker News for Parents

In honor of President's Day, students will be out of school on Monday, February 17th. Enjoy the break! We will see everyone on Tuesday, February 18th.

On Tuesday, February 18th we will have our PTSO Meeting at 5pm and an Art Showcase at 6pm. You are welcomed to come out and join our PTSO as well as view some spectacular art by our students! We look forward to seeing everyone!

W. B. Wicker will celebrate the contributions of African American inventors, authors, educators, and more! Our students will have opportunities to learn about the culture, traditions, and much more! We have a door decorating contest where the Wicker creativity is running wild throughout the building! When you get a chance, we encourage everyone to stop by and see the different doors that are on display for the entire month. We gearing up for our Black History Program that will be held on Friday, February 28th!

We will celebrate our International Teachers that are from Jamaica and learn from their culture and about their culture! We love all of our International Teachers and want to highlight them throughout the year! We will celebrate Jamaica Day on Thursday, February 27th.

We are looking for parents to serve on the PTSO Board, School Improvement Team, 2nd and 3rd Grade Small Group helpers, and help collect hours at the PTO Thrift Store! If you are willing to help in any area, please reach out to Mr. Beasley.
