Dear GRDC Families,

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year at Gold River Discovery Center! We hope your child had a relaxing and enjoyable summer and is ready to begin a new year of learning and growth. Our first day of school is Thursday, August 13th, and we’re excited to welcome all of our students back to campus.

A special welcome goes out to our new families and students joining the GRDC community this year. We’re glad to have you with us and look forward to partnering with you as your child becomes part of the strong tradition of excellence that defines our school.

Elementary Schedules:

Final Elementary schedules will be available on the parent portal on Tues. August 11th.

Middle School Schedules:

We’re excited to invite our 6th - 8th grade students to campus on Wednesday, August 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to pick up student schedules. This is a great opportunity for our middle school students to meet their teachers, reconnect with friends, and connect with our amazing PTO—all before the first day of school!

If your student is unable to attend, schedules will also be available to view through the Parent Portal starting August 12th.

Enjoy the last few days of Summer!

Please keep in mind that we have an early dismissal on the first day of school, as it follows our regular Early Thursday release time of 1:05 p.m.

As you receive your child’s schedule, please know that we are unable to accommodate any schedule change requests at this time, as our classes are at maximum capacity. Our staff has worked hard to create balanced class rosters that best support all students, and making changes would disrupt that balance.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we start the year strong, ensuring every student has the best possible learning environment.

As we begin another exciting school year, we are thrilled to welcome several new staff members to the Gold River Discovery Center family! Each of them brings unique talents, fresh ideas, and a deep commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of our students.
