Dear Parents/Carers,

It has been another exciting week at Larks Hill, filled with enrichment opportunities and wonderful achievements across school.

On Thursday evening, selected pupils from Years 3 and 4 took part in a football tournament and represented Larks Hill exceptionally well. Their teamwork, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship were commendable – well done to all who took part!

Today, our Year 5 and 6 pupils were the first to attend this half-term’s Go Ape trips. The children had a fantastic time tackling the high ropes course, showing tremendous determination, courage, and resilience throughout the morning. They represented the school brilliantly, and we are very proud of each and every one of them.

Our Junior Leadership Team (JLT) also met this week to continue preparations for our upcoming Thrill on the Hill 2 event, which is already shaping up to be a fantastic evening. If you haven’t yet purchased tickets, please head to MCAS soon — they are selling fast!

We also discussed our annual Pumpkin Decorating Competition, which will be judged on Thursday morning next week. There will be prizes for the top three entries, and the winning pumpkins will be displayed at Thrill on the Hill 2. Last year’s competition saw some incredibly creative designs — we can’t wait to see what pupils come up with this year, so it’s time to get carving and crafting! 🎃

Looking ahead, next week on Friday, pupils will take part in a UV Dodgeball Day, delivered by a specialist sports company. As dodgeball has been a focus across both KS1 and KS2 this term, this promises to be an exciting and memorable experience for all. Please ensure your child brings their PE kit on Friday as well as on their usual PE day.
