Dear Carver Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! Our Carver Eagles have started their Race to Success, and we are so proud of the progress we’ve seen in just the first two weeks. Students have been readjusting to their routines, and for some, this is their very first school year! Teachers have been busy teaching Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and helping students get familiar with the many resources they will use along the way.

As a reminder, although our district is 1-to-1 with student laptops, students will not be taking laptops home this year.

Important Dates on Our Race Track:

  • September 1 - Labor Day No SCHOOL
  • September 3 - Distirct Wide SEL Session 3:30-4:30 Virtual
  • September 9 – Third grade students will take the Beginning-of-Grade (BOG) assessment. Please make sure your child is present on this date so we can avoid make-up testing.

  • September 10 – Make-up testing for BOG (only if needed).

  • September 10 - District-Wide Title 1 Parent Engagement Night Virtual 6:00 PM

  • September 10 – Grandparents’ Luncheon. Grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren for lunch during their scheduled times. Please note that, due to nutrition guidelines, outside food may not be brought in.

Lunch schedule:
    • Pre-K: 10:30–11:00

    • 3rd Grade: 10:55–11:25

    • 4th Grade: 11:00–11:30

    • 5th Grade: 11:05–11:35

    • Kindergarten: 11:35–12:05

    • 1st Grade: 11:40–12:10

    • 2nd Grade: 11:45–12:15

  • September 25 | 5:30–6:30 PM – Title I Parent Engagement Night. We encourage all families to attend this important event where we will share school goals for the year and provide tips for understanding testing and assessment data.

Thank you for partnering with us as we guide our scholars on their Race to Success this school year. With teamwork, dedication, and eagle pride, there is no finish line to what our students can achieve!

With Eagle Pride,

Principal Rainey and Assistant Principal Jones

As a reminder, scheduled calls from the district (and schools) comes from 855-269-0502.

If a student is not receiving calls, they should update their information at the following link: https://bit.ly/vcsupdate. Data Managers will work to update information within Infinite Campus.

For all VCS Staff:

Keeping your information up-to-date in TimeKeeper is essential. Please take a moment to log in to TimeKeeper and ensure both your Home Phone and Cell Phone (they can be the same number - both fields must have a phone number) are up to date.
