Math:
4th: Word Problems with all operations!
5th: Adding / Subtracting mixed numbers!
6th: Dividing fractions / decimals!
ELA:
This weeks argumentative essay work was done in small groups. Each group read two opposing sides (for and against) of a topic and talked about what they would side with. Their follow up is to identify different parts of the essay on their own.
Next week we are moving on to independent work with identifying and drafting argumentative essays.
Social Studies:
We compared COVID-19 and the Black Plague. We are moving on to Justinian code of law and comparing it to the bill of rights!
Science:
Learning about animal adaptations!
Nature Connection:
This week we enjoyed the nice weather and talked about the signs of spring!
Book Club:
Book club was ran in small groups for one day and independently for the rest of the week. 4th years finished and will be moving on to a new book before April break!
Art:
Creating a quilt that represents their personality!
This week we are able to enjoy some hammocking with our books as well as parking lot games after the cold winter snow melting away some!
