Hello Eagle Families!!
We are off to a wonderful start at AES, and are so excited about all that this school year has in store!
β€οΈ Our PTO Is Ready to SOAR!
We just held our first PTO meeting, and we are so excited about the ideas and plans our PTO has for supporting our students and teachers this year! Our PTO is already working on ways to make Audubon an even better place for our Eagles.
If you haven't already, please follow our new Audubon PTO Facebook page. The link is included in this week's memo so you can stay up to date on PTO news, events, and opportunities to get involved.
We are also looking for volunteers, and we truly welcome help in any capacity you are able to give. Volunteering doesn't always mean coming to school for an event. Some of our volunteers come in to make copies for teachers, organize materials, or help behind the scenes. Others send in requested supplies, while some help plan and organize special events.
There is a place for everyone! If you have a little time, a specific talent, or simply want to help our Eagles, please sign up using the volunteer link included in this week's memo. We would love to have you be part of our team! I will use this list to contact parents when we need some help.
π No School β September 4 & September 7
A quick calendar reminder: There will be no school for students on Friday, September 4, or Monday, September 7. Please make note of these dates as you plan for the upcoming weeks.
π Parents Joining Us for Lunch!
We are excited to begin welcoming parents into school to eat lunch with their students beginning Tuesday, September 8! The September 6 Parent Memo will include a link where parents can sign up for a lunch visit. We can't wait to have you join us! Take a moment to review the Cafeteria Rules.
π REMINDER: Morning Drop-Off Safety
We want to remind everyone of an important safety expectation during morning arrival:
Please do not let your student out of the car in the morning drop-off line until an adult is on the front porch to supervise students. Supervised drop-off begins at 7:00 a.m.
Students should remain in the vehicle until an adult is outside and ready to supervise them. This is an important safety measure, and we appreciate your help in keeping all of our Eagles safe. This expectation is also highlighted in this week's parent memo.
Thank you, as always, for partnering with us. When families and schools work together, our students benefit the most. We are excited about this year and all the opportunities ahead for our Eagles!
Together, we SOAR! π¦ β€οΈπ

π£ IMPORTANT: New School Communication App
We need your help, Eagles! π¦ β€οΈ
Right now 64% of our guardians have downloaded and activated our NEW school communication app.
π Please take a few minutes to get the app set up!
Why is this important?
π± TalkingPoints is no longer being used by our district.
π± The new app is now the way you will communicate with your childβs teacher and the school.
Weβve attached step-by-step instructions to help you download and activate the app.
