Oasis Tutoring
Do you know someone 50+ who would be interested in helping a child learn to love reading and learning? Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers ages 50+ with children in grades K-3 to work one-on-one each week as their tutors, mentors and friends. They can tutor one child or several, on a one-on-one basis each week throughout the school year.
Anyone interested can sign up today by calling 314-995-9506 or visiting https://st-louis.oasisnet.org/tutoring/. Training will be on October 16 from 9:00-2:00 at Central Office.

Dismissal Parent Volunteers & Watch Dog Program!
No more colors or charts explaining the car line. I think for the most part we are getting there. Staffing is something we are looking to see where we can find more support. One main support I think a parent could easily help with is arriving to the PI parking lot around 3:00-3:10pm. That is about the time we need to start splitting into our double line and then from there on the traffic needs to be waved and directed to proper spots in order to allow for safety, fairness and organization to keep us off Osage.
I would provide you a nice, traffic safety vest and if needed maybe even a lighted/reflective wand!
The job would entail your direction and leadership from 3:00-3:40pm. Then depending on how your kiddo gets home. You can jump in your car and join the tail end of the line and get your student from the car lane which is clear by 3:48.
***I am happy to help on rainy, cold, or not so great days. Please let me know via email if you have any interest and what days you could consistently commit to. I am happy to train and do whatever it takes to help our dismissal run safe and smooth.
We are wanting to get our Watch Dog Program up and running with some visits on the calendar soon! Please take time to complete this google form to show your interest and make sure the school has your background check on file!
Complete this form if you are interested:https://forms.gle/1sDTef8U9rx9d1QE9
We currently have 6 Watch Dogs signed up that we will be reaching out to within the next couple weeks but the more the merrier!!
