School Fees
School fees have been posted and are now available online. We are therefore sending out a gentle reminder to please pay school fees before April 30, 2027. It is an Elk Island Catholic School Board policy that after April 30, 2027, all unpaid fees will be transferred to a collection agency.
**The Application for the Waiver of Fees Deadline is December 12, 2026. Forms are available in the office if needed or visit https://www.eics.ab.ca/parents-and-students/school-fees
If you have any questions, please contact the school at 780-467-7135.
Annual Forms - Action required
Alberta Education requires that we obtain a detailed update of student demographics on an annual basis. Funding they provide for your child's education is conditional to us receiving these updates and making them part of the student's record. Thank you for ensuring the following are completed on your PowerSchool Account by: Friday September 25, 2026

Rooted, United and Sent
This week, we gathered as an EPK school community for our first faith celebration of the year. It was a meaningful opportunity to pray together, reflect, and begin our year grounded in our shared faith.
This year, our district theme, Rooted, United and Sent, invites us to be rooted in Christ, united as one community, and sent out to live our faith through our words and actions.
Our first celebration reminded us that faith is lived each day—in the way we welcome one another, show kindness, serve others, forgive, and care for our school community.
As we continue through the year, we look forward to helping our students grow more deeply rooted in faith, stronger in community, and ready to share God’s love with others.

Allergy Awareness at EPK
École Père Kenneth Kearns is an Allergy Aware School. To help us reduce the risk of exposure for students with severe allergies, we ask families to refrain from sending food products containing peanuts or tree nuts, including items such as peanut butter, Nutella, and foods containing nut ingredients.
We also remind students not to share or trade food and encourage regular handwashing before and after eating.
While no school can guarantee an allergen-free environment, every child’s health and safety is important to us. We sincerely appreciate your care, understanding, and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students.
Toys and Personal Items
To help maintain a focused and engaging learning environment, we ask that toys and personal items remain at home. These items can often become a distraction for your child and for others in the classroom.
By keeping personal belongings at home, we can help ensure that our classrooms remain spaces where students are ready to learn, participate, and grow together.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
