Home of the Chargers
November 1, 2026
Greetings, Chargers!
Dear Fremont Families,
Welcome to November! As we begin a new month, I want to take a moment to thank all of our families who joined us for last week's Halloween Parade and Día de los Muertos celebration. It was wonderful to see our Fremont community come together, celebrate our traditions, and create special memories. Thank you for your continued participation and support of our Chargers!
We are also wrapping up Trimester 1! Teachers are finalizing report cards, which will be accessible through the Parent Portal this Friday, November 6. This is a great opportunity to celebrate your child's progress and reflect on their learning and accomplishments throughout the first trimester.
A big GOOD LUCK to our Fremont Chargers competing in flag football and cheer! We are proud of all our student-athletes and appreciate the dedication, teamwork, and school spirit they bring to their teams. Stay tuned for end-of-season celebrations, including playoffs and the cheer tournament! Families can stay up to date with game schedules and results through the City of Alhambra's Quickscores website:
Finally, we have several family meetings and opportunities coming up this week and next week. We encourage all families to join us, stay informed, and remain actively involved in our school community. Please take a moment to review the flyers below for additional information.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support our Fremont Chargers. Let's make November another wonderful month of learning, growth, and community!
With Charger Pride,
Dr. Chavez
Principal

Fremont Learning Schedule 2026-2027
Please note, school begins at 8:00am daily for all students (TK-8) through the front gates. Dismissal times will vary. Students in 4th-8th grades will dismiss through the Ross gate. Our weekly shortened day will remain on Wednesdays.
AUSD Parent and Family Portal
Families are able to view students homeroom teacher through the Parent Portal prior to the first day of school. Please remember that the class placement is subject to change through the first days of school as we work towards leveling classes. The Parent Portal is critical in monitoring student academic progress and attendance throughout the school year as well as updating relevant information. It is vital that student contact information is updated such as current home address, primary and secondary phone numbers, medication and allergy information and emergency contacts. School Safety: Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
PLEASE DO not drive through or park in the staff parking lot located off Fremont street. Be mindful when parking on Elm and Ross streets-always reading posted traffic signs. Morning drop off and dismissal gates differ depending on the grade level for your child. Fremont Families, it is important to respect our neighbors and adhere to traffic safety laws, keeping our students safe off campus. Fremont is located on busy streets and we want to assure the safety of our students and staff.
AUSD Personal Device Policy and Practices
Students' cell phones and personal devices shall be off and away during the day at AUSD Schools.
New California legislation establishes a cell phone-free education for our K-12 public schools. The lawmakers acknowledges the research and feedback from health officials, educators, and families that these devices have significantly negatively affected academic achievement and student health.
Here are the expectations of students:
1. Personal electronic devices (cellular phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and headphones) will need to be stored in student backpacks/bags for the school day as students enter schools.
2. Students will not use personal electronic devices during the school day inclusive of class time, breakfast, lunch, bathroom breaks, and passing time between classes.
AUSD School Uniform & Dress Code
School Uniforms are required in accordance with Board Policy 5132. Specific attire for school uniforms may also be viewed on our website. We strongly encourage "College Wear Wednesdays" and "Fremont Fridays" wearing green. Students may wear Fremont Charger Gear any day of the week.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Jumpers
Color: Navy blue or khaki
Style: Fitted or elastic at the waist, jeggings or leggings are not uniform pants. There should not be any holes on pants or pajamas.
Tops

Style: Polo, turtleneck, short or long sleeves
Sweater or Jacket may be worn over the uniform and may not replace uniform tops

Hats and sun-protective clothing may be worn outdoors.
Attendance Matters
School starts for ALL Chargers at 8:00am. These start times mean that students should be lined up. If they are not, they are marked late. Students who arrive after their start time need to enter through the Main Office and get a tardy slip.
If your student is going to be absent please submit an absence reporting form by scanning the QR code or accessing it on our website. You may also contact the school office by calling (626) 943-3360. Please include Student’s Name, Student ID# and reason for missing school. All Doctor notes and parent excuse notes must be turned in to the Front Office or uploaded on the form,
