Message from the Principal
Dear FNE Families,
As we enter the final month of the school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible success of our students. This year has been filled with growth, perseverance, and achievement across every grade level. From academic progress in reading and math to the development of strong character and leadership skills, our students have truly risen to the challenge. We are so proud of all they have accomplished.
I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to you, our families, for your continued partnership. Your support at home, your encouragement, and your collaboration with our staff make a meaningful difference in the success of our students. It truly takes a team, and we are grateful to work alongside you.
We are completing our final round of testing for all grade levels at the beginning of the month. We encourage students to stay focused and continue giving their best effort as they finish strong. As we close out the year, we are excited to celebrate our students with a variety of end-of-year activities and events. These moments are designed to recognize their hard work, create lasting memories, and honor all they have achieved this year.
Before we head into summer, I encourage you to take time to connect with your child’s teacher about your student’s progress. These conversations are a valuable opportunity to understand strengths, areas for growth, and ways you can continue supporting learning over the summer months.
Thank you again for your partnership, your trust, and your commitment to our school community. Together, we have made this a successful and meaningful year for our students.

At FNE, relationships come first—and that’s why we are proud to be a 4x Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Campus! This recognition reflects our commitment to creating a campus where every student feels valued, safe, and connected.
This month’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts Family Newsletter highlights Integrity, encouraging students to do the right thing even when no one is watching, be honest in their actions, and take responsibility for their choices. Together, we can help children develop this important life skill by modeling honesty, having open conversations about right and wrong, and recognizing moments when they demonstrate strong character. This month’s activities are designed to spark meaningful conversations about integrity and empower children as they build trust, accountability, and confidence in themselves. Each month, you will receive a newsletter from your school and Capturing Kids’ Hearts that aligns with a monthly character focus. These newsletters include ideas, challenges, and activities to help you connect, reflect, and grow as a family. Each family newsletter will:
- Define and explain the focused character trait for the month.
- Provide you with ideas and activities to help you grow your child’s character.
