Virtue of the Month - Fairness
During this month we will celebrate the virtue of fairness.
Fairness…is the ability to be open-minded and act in a just and fair way. Fairness allows us to treat others with mercy and compassion -- to feel and act with and for another person. God makes us to live together as a family in creation, to share and to help each other. Being Christian is all about living together in community-ideally, one big happy family. Jesus spent a major part of his time on earth showing us how to care for people in need. He spent a lot of time showing us how to follow God's rules. Everyone needs a FAIR chance to succeed--to overcome their disadvantages and disabilities. A fair team player makes sure the rules of the game give everyone an even chance to participate. Not everyone has to win. Everyone deserves a chance to be in the game.
“Fair doesn't mean giving every child the same thing, it means giving every child what they need.”
~Rick Lavoie
A FAIR person…
† takes turns, and shares
† listens to both sides of the story
† plays by the rules
† takes only his or her portion
† treats others equally
† treats others as they would like to be treated
† asks themselves: W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do)?
† works to bring about peaceful solutions to problems.
† cheers on the successes of others.

Fun Day
We are thrilled to announce that St. Michael’s will be hosting a Disney Fun Day! Get ready for a magical morning filled with fun, teamwork, and imagination.
Date: Wednesday, June 19
Time: 8:40 AM – 1:00 PM
Our amazing Grade 7 students will be stepping into the roles of “Disney hosts,” planning and leading a variety of activity stations inspired by the fun and spirit of classic Disney adventures. Each child will be part of a colour team and we encourage everyone to dress in their team’s colour to show their spirit! Your child's teacher has sent a separate email with this information.
Two healthy snacks will be provided by the school, along with a hot dog lunch. Students are welcome to bring additional snacks if they wish. Please make sure your child brings a water bottle and is dressed for the weather—rain or shine, the magic must go on!
The day begins with a Kickoff Celebration at 8:50 AM and wraps up with a Magical Farewell at 11:45AM, including a special “Little Kids’ Race” that’s sure to bring smiles! Families are warmly invited to attend and cheer on our Disney heroes-in-training.
After the festivities, students will return to their classrooms and be dismissed at 1:00PM.
We can't wait to celebrate a day full of laughter, friendship, and a little Disney magic!
With joy,
The Fun Day Committee
