As we enter the last month of school for the 2024-2025 school year, we have a few big end-of-year events. Please check out the information below and consider volunteering for Family Fun Night or Field Day. Links for volunteering are listed below. Family Fun night is a FREE event, but we ask that you use the registration link to register your family. See below for details.

Students have one month left to reach their goals in Lexia and Dreambox. These programs offer individualized support and practice to help solidify important skills and concepts in Reading and Math. Please encourage your child to continue their daily work with Lexia and Dreambox. May 19th is the last day for students to reach their grade-level goals and be recognized at the end of the year. These programs will also be available during the summer; more details to follow on that in the future.

Mark your calendars for the Kindergarten Kick-Off event at Jefferson Elementary on May 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM! 🎉

School Supply lists for the 2025-26 School Year are posted on the school website. As an option for purchasing supplies, you can use 1st Day School Supplies to order everything you need in just a few clicks. This is an optional service meant to save you time and frustration from going store to store. If your family is unable to purchase necessary supplies, please make sure you contact the school office or GRIN and we will be happy to assist you.

We are excited to share that a partner agency we work with, Concord Counseling, will be offering some free summer group programs this year. Students going into grades 1st-6th for the 2025-2026 school year will have the opportunity to attend day camps that address various social-emotional skills. Here are the following groups that will be offered within Gahanna as well as Groveport and Westerville. Students can attend group in any of the 3 locations:

Emotion Explorers: Addresses identification of various basic emotions, how they feel in the body, how we can appropriately express those emotions to others, and various coping skills to help manage those big emotions

Worry Warriors: Addresses identification of worry triggers, meaning of worry vs. anxiety, how worry feels in the body, and coping skills to help decrease worries

Keys To Success: Addresses executive functioning needs such as planning/organizing, identifying/eliminating distractions, self-control, and attention/focus

Let's Be Friends: Addresses positive social skills to utilize within friendships, such as active listening, conflict resolution, appropriate emotion identification/expression, and how to make new friends

Field Day will take place on Wednesday, May 21 from 8:30 - 2:30. All classes will be involved in activities and stations all day long. You may volunteer for the AM, PM or Both sessions.
