There will be no school on Tuesday in observance of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. This holiday is traditionally marked by the blowing of the shofar and begins ten days of reflection that conclude with Yom Kippur. To all who are celebrating, Shanah Tovah, wishing you a good and sweet new year.

Starting next week, we will hold our first Curriculum Night for second grade families. This event is designed for parents and caregivers, not students. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a short presentation in the Dining Room from Erica Linares, Katie Bent, and me about our school goals for the year. At approximately 6:15 p.m., families will be invited to their child’s classroom, where teachers will review the curriculum, daily schedules, classroom procedures, and key areas of focus. This time will also provide an opportunity to get to know your child’s teacher better.

To better support our families, we are introducing live virtual interpreters this year. Interpreters will translate in real time, so presentations will not need to pause for translation. Families who require interpretation services must sign up in advance using the link below. Parents may use their own devices or loaned Chromebooks with earbuds to access the live interpretation stream.

👉 Use this link to Fill out this Form. We will make sure we have an interpreter for you.

We look forward to seeing you at Curriculum Night and to working together for a successful school year!

Have a great weekend,

Pete
