Hello, Leroy Nichols Families!

I want to take a moment to give a shout-out to our Spelling Bee winner, Stephen Lowrey, and our runner-up, Noah Riffel! Students in grades 4–6 participated in classroom spelling bees, and the winners advanced to our site-level competition with Mrs. Carter and me. Stephen will go on to represent Leroy Nichols at the District Spelling Bee. Way to go, Stephen and Noah! We are so proud of you both and all your hard work!

This Friday, we will be holding our Trunk or Treat Harvest Festival, and we are looking forward to enjoying some fall fun with our Nichols families! Bring your appetites, candy bags, and costumes for a festive evening together. Please remember that students must be accompanied by an adult to attend the event. As a reminder, students should save their costumes for the evening event and not wear them to school that day. However, students will have another opportunity to dress up at school on Friday, October 30, so they can enjoy some Halloween fun with their classmates, too! We look forward to seeing everyone for a fun-filled fall celebration!

Thank you to everyone who has been saving cans and bottles to help raise funds for Science Camp! Please bring in your donations on Friday, October 30. If you haven’t started saving yet, it’s not too late to join in! We kindly ask that cans and bottles be separated before bringing them in to help make things easier for our volunteers. Sorting everything would be a huge job, and we appreciate your help in making the process a little easier. Every little bit counts, and we are so grateful for your support as we continue raising funds to help send our students to Science Camp!

All families are welcome to join us for our Parent Café every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. here at Leroy Nichols!

Parent Café will take place every Thursday through November 5. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families, build community, and share in meaningful conversations.
