System Status
Principal's Corner- September 8, 2026
I hope everyone had a great long weekend. Mine was filled with lots of family celebrations which is why this week's Plugged In is late. Apologies!
PSAT registration is almost over. See registration information below for 10th and 11th graders at no charge!
Our students are incredibly involved in tons of activities around campus. I have loads of pictures to share this week. If I'm missing a campus club, organization, or sport, please share your photos with me via email. I want to highlight as many students and as much involvement as possible.
Here is what is going on at NSITE!

Parents, it is incredibly helpful if you avoid texting or calling your student during the school day. We are happy to relay important messages through our NSITE office by phone or email. When leaving or sending a message, please be sure to indicate your student's name, grade, and ID number if possible.

Updated Safety Procedures & Systems
If you are visiting campus for a meeting or coming to check your student out, you may have noticed some new procedures in place. The first is the camera and intercom system at the front door. When you push the button, we will ask you to identify yourself, indicate why you need access to campus, and to produce your driver's license or ID.
Once you've been buzzed in and come up the stairs, you will see a kiosk where you will sign in and tell us what brings you to campus today. Be prepared! It will ask to take a photo of your ID and it will take a picture of you as well. Be aware that if your student has athletics 8th period, you may want to pick them up during 7th.
Students who get dropped off after an appointment will use this system to sign back in to campus as well.
PSAT- Time is almost up!
Registration is currently open for students to take the PSAT on October 21st during the school day.
At NSITE, we provide all of our 9th grade students with this opportunity so that they can be exposed to this high-stakes test early. All 9th grade NSITE students will be automatically registered to take this test.
10th and 11th grade students must follow the registration instructions below in order to take the test. There is no fee. 11th grade students can be eligible for scholarship opportunities through PSAT participation. We highly recommend both sophomores and juniors register and take the exam.
Student IDs
We are required by the Texas Educational Agency to keep all exterior doors locked throughout the entire school day.
A valid student ID is required to enter a secure building. You MUST have a student ID every day and visible while on campus.
Parents, guardians, and visitors are required to present a state issued ID to enter the front office and conduct school business.
Student IDs are also required to collect a breakfast or lunch tray and to enter the school bus.
Students, please DO NOT bang or kick on exterior doors to be let into a building. This can cause damage to our doors and our campus—and could also result in costly repairs. which you will be responsible for. Knocking on exterior doors is disruptive to the students who arrived on time.
Find an administrator or staff member to open the door for you. More importantly, let’s work on getting to class on time so we don’t have to wait at all!
Only students with off campus lunch privileges may leave during their assigned lunch period. Exiting the campus without permission through unauthorized areas is dangerous and will result in disciplinary action.
