Connection Point Newsletter
Hi Church,
We have a lot going on this Fall! This weekend we have our trunk or treat. Thank you to everyone preparing to serve this weekend.
This Sunday we will be looking at Luke 18:35-43, the healing of the blind man. Last week we saw Jesus turn the cry for mercy into the language of praise. This week we will see how the blind man sees more in Jesus than anyone else around him. And that Christ asks him a question to which only Jesus Himself can answer.
Looking forward to being together this Sunday!
See You Sunday,
John
Congregational Meeting Summary
We had our congregational meeting for all members after service last Sunday, October 25th. Here’s a brief summary of the meeting:
As a Christian & Missionary Alliance district church, the Faith Alliance Church (FAC) congregation is required to recommit our standing with the state of Massachusetts to maintain tax exemption status. Pastor John explained the requirement and asked the congregation to vote to approve the recommitment. Meeting minutes were recorded, questions were addressed, and a motion to approve passed unanimously.
Descriptions of the building repairs needed (all windows, building's front exterior, and guardrail) were presented. The details of how FAC will raise the funds for the repairs was discussed. The target for raising funds was scheduled for the annual reports meeting on Sunday, February 28th, 2027.
Church Library Survey
Matt Quilitzsch is our church librarian and is doing an incredible job getting our system and books up to date. He is currently digitizing our book catalog and along the way, as he is redeveloping the collection, he has some questions he wants to ask in order to better serve the church.
Can you take a moment and fill out the survey for him? It will help Matt to work to develop services and materials that can help the church body grow in their faith.
