Yesterday was an absolute blast as we came together as a school to celebrate the Kids Heart Challenge! We cheered, we laughed, and most importantly, we made a HUGE impact—raising a whopping $21,277.29 to support Finn's Mission through the American Heart Association!

Finn’s Mission is all about teaching students the importance of heart health, and WOW—did our school step up! As a legendary reward for all the hard work, four of our brave staff members got the ultimate makeover—sticky shaving cream + a feathery finish! In case you couldn't tell under all that fluff, the fabulous four were Collin Smith, Anna Yeazel, Julie Hetzel, and Allyce Harris!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated—it was an unforgettable day, all in the name of a heart-healthy lifestyle!

Last week in Math Headquarters, students came to visit Agent Drobot to celebrate the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day. Students received their math agent ID cards and watched this video with 100 students at MV sharing what they do, know, and love about math.

Special thank you to Mrs. Abby Drobot (Teaching and Learning Coach) for her support helping to build each student's math identity and math agency.

“LOI” stands for “Loss Of Instruction” and is used for students that are picked up after 2:30 pm. We need to account for every student’s entire day, so we use this code but it does not “count against” your student’s minutes in attendance. There’s another good reason to schedule those appointments as late in the school day as possible.

Please join us on April 2nd anytime between 5:30-7:00 PM at Bay Lane Elementary for our 4K Student and Caregiver Open House. When you arrive, be sure to grab a Student Bingo Card that will lead you and your child through our 4K classrooms. Each classroom will be open with a designated activity for students to participate in. During the open house, students and caregivers will have an opportunity to learn more about math, literacy, fine motor, music/movement and social skills. It should take approximately 30-45 minutes to visit all the planned activities. There will be classroom teachers and administrators available to provide information and answer general questions you might have. More information regarding 4K and registration can be found on our district website.
