From the Principal's Desk

It’s been another great week at GMS! Our building is full of energy as students continue to learn, grow, and support one another both in and out of the classroom.

A huge thank you goes out to all of our staff members who have helped support athletics this season—whether reffing games, keeping the books, running clocks, or working in concessions. Your time and teamwork make our events run smoothly and help create a great experience for our student-athletes and families.

We’re proud of the continued effort and enthusiasm across our school community—keep it up, Mustangs!

Go Mustangs!

Yesterday we celebrated World Kindness Day at GMS. World Kindness Day was created by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations united under one timeless idea: kindness is our shared language — one that speaks to both heart and science. Research continues to show what we’ve always known intuitively: kindness changes us, inside and out. Every smile, note, and good deed you share becomes part of something measurable and magnificent. I spoke with lots of students yesterday about the kind acts that they wanted to do for others and themselves. Your students are amazing! They have a strong desire to help others and themselves, and not just on special days like this, but every single day. I am also so lucky to work with a small group of 8th grade girls who meet each week to create schoolwide kindness activities and assemblies for GMS. This year, we hope to involve even more students in acts of kindness, and if you would like to be involved, please let me know! What kind acts can you do for yourself and others today? Go, Mustangs!
