Madison Elementary School Update
Happy New Year!!!

Sinking Fund Millage Renewal
Dear Madison Families,
I hope this message finds you well! As we approach the upcoming election on November 4, 2025, I want to take a moment to discuss an important issue that will be on the ballot: the renewal of our Sinking Fund Millage.
The sinking fund is a crucial tool for our district, functioning like a dedicated savings account. It allows us to pay for essential capital projects without incurring debt or interest. This means we can continue to enhance our school facilities and provide a safe, modern learning environment for our students.
In the past, we have utilized sinking funds for various improvements, including:
- Enhanced security measures
- Upgrades to our HVAC systems
- Roofing projects (completed at the high school, with ongoing work at the middle and elementary schools)
The renewal we are seeking is not a tax increase; it will remain at $1.50 for every $1,000 of taxable value. This funding is vital for keeping our facilities up to date and ensuring we can invest in:
- Technology in classrooms
- Site improvements
- Security upgrades
I encourage all families living in the District to participate in this important vote. Your support helps us maintain and improve our school environment for all our students.
Thank you for your continued support!
5th Grade Camp Walk-A-Thon
5th grade students will be participating in their annual Wicked Walk-A-Thon on Friday morning to raise money to help pay for 5th Grade Camp in January. The second payment is due on Friday, November 7. Please have your child dress accordingly for the weather. We encourage them to wear orange or Halloween themed clothing, but no costumes please. Please no face paint either. Parents are welcome to come cheer on their children from the bleachers at the football field.
