MESSAGE MESSAGE

September is Off to a Great Start!

We’ve had a strong beginning to the month! Students successfully completed their first round of NWEA assessments, and many had the opportunity to attend the NM State Fair School Days, enjoying special themes such as Firefighters Day, Science Day, and College Day.

We’re excited to announce our school’s participation in the upcoming Triband Summit, which will take place at Route 66 Casino. Registration is required. For more information, please contact Katrina Nez, Director of Family Engagement.

Transportation Count Week will take place on September 22nd to 26th. We kindly ask that your child is present at school each day that week, as attendance is very important. Please note that Wednesday, September 24th will be a full day of school due to Count Week.

The weather has also been wonderful, with plenty of much-needed rainfall bringing a refreshing change to our days. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to do good in school!

Red Ribbon Week - Drug Prevention Presentations Promote Awareness

On September 2nd and 3rd, students from 1st through 12th grade participated in presentations as part of a collaborative effort between the New Mexico National Guard, CBN Health Center, and TCS for Red Ribbon Week.

Each grade level received age-appropriate presentations; 1st to 5th grade learned about bullying prevention, Middle school students were educated on the dangers of vaping, and High school students received a powerful presentation on the risks of fentanyl. At the end of each session, students were given goody bags and had the opportunity to ask the National Guard representatives questions.

It was a great day of prevention, education, and promoting a drug-free lifestyle. Thank you to Sanchez, Wilson, Ruiz, Burlem who presented to our elementary students and Sanchez, Wilson, and Portillo for presenting to our Secondary students.

Balloon Launch for Red Ribbon Week!

Our Preschoolers, FACE Program, and Kindergarten students participated in a balloon release to mark the start of Red Ribbon Week! The kiddos were full of excitement and even wanted to chase after the balloons as they floated away. It was a fun and memorable way to promote the message of living drug-free, a great way to kickoff an important campaign!

A Special Thank You to Our Red Ribbon Week Helpers!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff, volunteers, and community members who helped make Red Ribbon Week a success! Your support and dedication made a lasting impact on our students as we came together to promote a drug-free lifestyle.

Exciting Learning in Our Middle School Math Classroom!

The start of the school year has been so exciting in our classroom! Students have been doing hands-on activities, exploring different learning stations, and working together on projects. From moving around with learning mats to solving problems as a team, everyone is having fun while thinking, creating, and learning. Our classroom is full of energy, curiosity, and teamwork right from day one!

We’ve also spent time practicing important skills like communicating, collaborating, and solving problems through group challenges and hands-on tasks. By mixing movement, visuals, and interactive activities, we’ve created a space where every student feels welcome and excited to participate. All of these activities are posted on ClassDojo so parents can see what we’ve been up to in class. It’s amazing to see their confidence grow and their curiosity spark, setting the tone for a school year full of learning, fun, and new adventures.
