Helping Bobcat Families During the Holidays

Each year we support our families during the holidays. This year we are casting a wider net and therefore will not have specific sizes and requests from the families. Instead, we would like to provide them with gift cards so they can shop for the items they want and need. If you would like to support our efforts, you can do so by dropping off gift cards to the main office to my attention: Cindy Donovan, School Social Worker. We would like to have the cards by Wednesday, December 13th. If you need additional information, you can contact me at DonovaCM@pwcs.edu.

If you are able to help, please use the Sign Up Genius.

Thank you for your continued support!

Season of Giving

The clinic is looking for donations of new sweatpants, leggings, joggers for our students. Something your teen wouldn't be embarrassed putting on in case of emergency and needed to borrow a pair to help get through the school day. The Battlefield sweatpants you can purchase are always a great option! Looking for small, medium, and large sizes. Thank you so much for your generosity and helping our Bobcats!

Accessing PSAT Results

On October 18, Battlefield High School administered the PSAT/NMSQT to all 10th and 11th grade students and the PSAT 8/9 to all 9th grade students. On November 16, College Board released score reports to each student who participated in one of these assessments. Students who provided an email address on test day should have received an email notification that scores are available. Students who provided a cell phone number on test day can download the BigFuture School mobile app. If your child didn't provide an email address on the answer sheet on test day, your child can still access their scores online.

Your student can access their scores via the Student Score Report portal. While BHS has access to your student’s scores, it is much faster for you and your student to access their scores via this portal. We ask that you access this portal first before emailing the school for PSAT score reports.

PSAT/NMSQT resources available to understand the score report:

  • Watch this video to understand the PSAT/NMSQT score report

  • Understanding Scores: For Students and Families

PSAT 8/9 resources available to understand the score report:

  • Watch this video to understand the PSAT 8/9 score report

  • Watch this video to learn how to make the most of your PSAT 8/9 scores

  • Understanding Scores: For Students and Families

When reviewing their PSAT results, we encourage students to focus on skills, not scores:

  • Use the “Knowledge and Skills” section of the score report to identify content areas you may want to focus on to practice and improve

  • AP Potential – score report will provide students with information about which AP courses they’re likely to do well in based on their PSAT results

  • Speak with your teachers and counselor about your AP Potential to determine which AP course(s) may be your best fit

  • Use BigFuture School mobile app to get customized career information and guidance about planning and paying for college

  • Use your score report to receive tailored resources from Khan Academy and develop a study plan

If you have additional questions, please contact your student's school counselor.
