MHHS Student on State Superintendent Student Advisory Council

Mountain Heritage High School student Gabrielle Noonan has been selected to serve on the State Superintendent's Student Advisory Council. She was selected out of over 3,000 applications for this year and is one of only 24 students from the entire state chosen to help represent their peers and advise the state educational leaders on public school policies and student issues. Gabby will hold this position until she graduates in 2028.

UNC System Virtual Open House

Prospective students and their families are invited to explore all 16 UNC System universities during a four-night Virtual Open House. Admissions representatives from each institution will share helpful information about the admission process, and current students will discuss their college experiences and answer questions live. School counselors, college advisors, and other college access professionals are also invited to attend!

When: October 5-6 and 12-13, 2026 | 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. each day

Dress Up, Suit Up (The Prom Dress Exchange) is open by appointment to students who are in need Homecoming Dance attire for both men and women, as well as suits for DECA, Mock Trial, etc.

1,000's of choices - sizes 00-4XL - plus shoes, and all the accessories - all free to individuals who need something special to wear for their milestone event.

The free boutique is located in the back parking lot of Groce UMC in East Asheville at 404 Governor's View Rd. and is open by appointment only.
