Leadership Message Leadership Message

Dear Students, Families, and Staff,

As we begin this new season of learning and growth together, I am reminded of a powerful teaching from the Gospel of Luke (14:25-33), where Jesus speaks about what it truly means to be His disciple. He explains that following Him isn't something we do half-heartedly—it takes full commitment. He even says we must be willing to give up everything, including our own desires, to follow Him fully.

To help us understand this, Jesus tells two short stories: one about a person planning to build a tower and another about a king preparing for war. In both stories, He teaches the importance of counting the cost and being prepared before starting something important. Just like those builders and leaders, we too must be thoughtful and ready when we begin any big journey—especially one as meaningful as growing in faith, learning, and character.

As a school community, we are also on a journey. Whether it's starting a new grade, tackling a new subject, or working through challenges, it’s important to remember that anything worthwhile takes effort, planning, and perseverance. Jesus reminds us that discipleship—and by extension, anything meaningful in life—requires us to give our best, even when it’s hard.

So as we move forward this year, let us be reminded of the importance of commitment. Let’s encourage our students to take their studies seriously, support each other kindly, and approach each day with a readiness to grow—mind, body, and spirit.

Thank you for walking this journey together with us. May we continue to build a strong foundation, not only in academics but in faith and values, just as Jesus calls us to do.

Growing Together in Christ,

Mrs. K Phelan

Complete Your Consent Forms Complete Your Consent Forms

It is that time of year again when we need parents to log into your Powerschool account and fill out your yearly consent for technology use, communication and fieldtrips. Please note that these forms must be completed before your child's first field trip or they may be unable to participate.

If you have not filled out the Demographic form sent out in June please complete it. This gives the school the most current information for your child and family. Alberta Ed requires families to complete this form yearly.

Thank you for taking time to do this. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Stewart, St. Luke's fantastic secretary. She is delighted to help.

Please access your PowerSchool Parent portal to sign your annual consent forms for technology and field trips. As well, please update your communication permissions and contact information.

Doing this early ensures your child is able to enjoy all of the rich learning experiences brought forward by our amazing team, and that you get all of important information about them!

Nut Aware School Nut Aware School

St. Luke Catholic School is a nut-aware environment. This school policy is put in place to provide a safe environment for our children and staff who have life-threatening allergies to nut and nut products. We ask parents to monitor this closely with their children as they prepare snacks and lunches to be brought to school. Thank you for helping a safe school community for all!
