- The visit will begin at 9:50 a.m.
- This will not be a traditional clap out; graduates will have an opportunity to visit staff and teachers.
- Seniors arriving after 9:50 a.m. will not be permitted to enter.
- Graduates are asked to leave the building by 10:10 a.m.
- Only Walled Lake High School Seniors are allowed to visit
Thank you,

Chromebook Collection
This year we will only be collecting school chromebooks from students who will no longer be in Walled Lake Schools for the 2026-2027 school year. If you know you will be moving out of the district or if your child will be attending a private school, please fill out this Chromebook Collection form.
We will be collecting these chromebooks on Tuesday, June 9th during 1st Hour.
FIELD DAY ON FRIDAY, JUNE 5th
FIELD DAY TIMES
8th Grade 12:30-1:10 p.m.
7th Grade 1:15 p.m.-1:55 p.m.
6th Grade 2:00-2:40 p.m. (may run closer to dismissal)
Students have the option of engaging in the field day activities or can simply walk around and enjoy time with friends and staff.
There will not be a separate and additional lunch provided for students, aside from their lunch period at this year’s Field Day. Students can bring a lunch or purchase a lunch like on a normal school day.
7TH GRADE FIELD TRIP INFORMATION AND REMINDERS
As we prepare for our field trip to Comerica Park on Thursday, May 28th, we would like to remind families that only approved school chaperones may participate with our field trip group.
While we cannot dictate whether non-chaperone parents attend the game independently, we ask that parents who are not official chaperones do not join our field trip group or approach students attending with our school. This creates a safety and supervision concern for our students.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organized experience for all students.
ADDITONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Please make sure your child arrives at school on time.
- Comerica Park is a cashless venue, so any purchases made will need to be with a credit/debit card
- We will be attending this trip rain or shine. The past few years have had glorious weather, and it has been amazing. However, it is going to be a great idea to check the weather and prepare accordingly for clothing and sunscreen.
- It is strongly recommended that students and chaperones bring their own lunch. The guidelines for acceptable lunch items to bring to the park are in the linked document. Comerica Park is a cashless venue, so any purchases made will need to be with a credit/debit card. There are two Cash2Card machines in the park, but there are historically long lines just to get a card and there are always long lines to get food.
- Disposable lunch bags, clear plastic Ziplock bags and sealed bottles of water are permitted
- No canned beverages allowed
- No coolers, bookbags or drawstring bags will be allowed
- Clutches or bags 4” x 6” x 1.5” or smaller are permitted. Anything larger will not be allowed in the ballpark
- For more information on what’s allowed in Comerica Park, please visit: https://www.mlb.com/tigers/ballpark/security

Oakland County Enhancement Millage - Impact & Potential Uses
The Oakland County Enhancement Millage will be on the August 4, 2026 ballot. If approved, each public school district and eligible public school academies would receive approximately $781 per student annually. This proposal would cost about $150 per year for a $200,000 home ($100,000 taxable value).
Districts would use the funding for a variety of reasons. Here are some examples on how these general fund dollars would be spent:
· Staff recruitment and retention
· Stabilizing general fund budgets
· Maintaining or reducing class sizes, where possible
· Expanding professional development
· Enhancing student wellness supports
· Improving safety and security
· Maintaining and strengthening district programming
Visit the Enhancement Millage website for more information and a tax calculator.

DISTRICT CHROMEBOOK SUPPORT
Process for requesting service for district issued chromebooks if needed:
- If a student needs support, he/she should fill out a Student Chromebook Support Form linked on all of the Google Classrooms and on the school website under Students. Being logged on to the school google account is required to access the form.
- The information in the form will be sent to Mrs. Stasak, our Middle School Computer Resource Teacher. She will reply to the student at his/her school gmail account. She will offer suggestions to fix the issue or, if it needs service, she will tell the student to take the chromebook to the office and give it to Mrs. Wilseck in the main office.
- The chromebook in the case will be sent through inner office and the student will be allowed to use a loaner chromebook AT SCHOOL. It will be the student’s responsibility to pick it up each morning from the office and return it at the end of the day.
- When the chromebook has been repaired, it will be delivered back to the school for the student to pick up.
- If the family purchased insurance, the first repair is free and all additional repairs carry a deductible. Deductible invoices or repair invoices, for those that did not choose insurance, must be paid before the repaired chromebook is returned.
If a student with a personal chromebook has a network issue, the same form can be used. We are not able to fix physical problems with personal devices and loaner chromebooks will not be provided.
*Reply @LEAVE to the number you are receiving messages from if you'd like to leave the text group at anytime.
Medications are administered at school under the supervision of our office staff. This includes BOTH prescription medications AND over the counter (ibuprofen, pain relievers, etc.) medications. For safety and confidentiality reasons, we will not be accepting medications at Smart Start. If you would like to drop off medications and the required documentation prior to the start of the school year, please contact our office secretary, Mrs. Jen Schloegl , directly at 248-956-3512.
