Head of School Updates
March 4th, 2026
A Message from Mr. Bentley
As we enter the final days of the second trimester, I would like to encourage all of our families to reach out with any questions regarding academic progress or grades. Our teachers will be finalizing report cards and holding conferences on Monday and Tuesday during our professional development days. It is important that we maintain open lines of communication and our team is here to support you with any questions or concerns that may arise at the end of the marking period. Please don’t hesitate to email or call your child’s teacher directly as we finish up the trimester.

Do More 24 Delaware – Support our Seahawks!
As a Delaware-based nonprofit, we are thrilled to announce that we are participating in Do More 24 Delaware, a statewide giving campaign on March 5–6.
As state funding is dispersed differently to public charter schools than to traditional public schools, Sussex Academy relies on community donations to fund capital improvements and facility needs.
By donating to Sussex Academy during Do More 24 Delaware, you have a direct impact on our students, teachers and staff.
For 24 hours, beginning at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 5 through 6 p.m., Friday March 6, we ask you to ‘do more’ with us by donating to our secure fundraising page at https://www.domore24delaware.org/fundraisers/sussex-academy.
Thank you for your support!
