A Message from Principal Woofter
Good afternoon!
It has been an exciting week so far! This past Saturday, our Chess Team competed in Regionals at Hillsboro High School. Each member of the team won at least one round of competition. Congratulations to Pranav Balasubramanian who came in 2nd place overall and has qualified for the State competition! We are so proud of all of our chess players and the time and dedication they put into their play.
On the other side of town, our OBOB team, Rollin' Readers Revenge also competed in Regional competition on Saturday. The team ended in 17th place for their first time at Regionals so a big congratulations to them! I know they are already planning to defend their title and make it back to Regionals next year. They did a tremendous job and spent a lot of time preparing for their competition - well done ladies!
Our 3rd graders performed a concert for families and friends on Wednesday evening! They have been working on hard on their songs and it truly paid off. A big thank you to Ms. Brannan for preparing the students to shine on stage.
Tonight, we will be welcoming our incoming Kindergarten students and their families for the 26-27 school year! For many, this will be their first experience at Archer Glen so we can't wait to show them around campus and get them excited for what they can look forward to next year.
Next week, we will have a PAC Dine Out at Jamba Juice from 2 pm until close. Stop by to support our local business and Archer Glen! They will be donating 40% back to Archer Glen!
We will wrap up next week with our Dress Like a Tourist Day on Friday, March 20! Feel free to wear souvenir attire from your favorite place or put on a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses - whatever students would want to wear when they are heading out on vacation.
Kindly,
Sarah
