Picture Day is on October 10th.
Make-up Pictures and Picture Retakes will be on November 14th.
If a student wants a retake they must bring the proof from the first picture day.

We will be celebrating Banned Books Week October 6-10. Banned books will be displayed and we will have a daily contest centered around banned and/or challenged books.
Banned Books Week is an annual campaign celebrating intellectual freedom and the right to read, held to highlight and combat censorship attempts in libraries, schools, and bookstores. The American Library Association (ALA) organizes the event, which informs the public about book bans and challenges, draws attention to the value of free access to information, and supports the book community in upholding these rights.
6th grade students: Two adolescent immunizations will be due for your student Friday May 8th. TDAP and Meningitis. Students are not permitted to start 7th grade without proof that they have had these shots.
Some students may need to get these shots over the summer but I HIGHLY recommend getting them done now or as soon as possible unless you have a reason to wait until summer. Each August as the first day of the new school year approaches, appointments in our area can get extremely hard to get and sometimes medical offices run out of the shots during this time as well. It is my goal that no Musselman Middle School Student misses days at the beginning of the year due to not having their adolescent immunizations. But unfortunately every year I have at least a few students who end up in this situation which I would love to prevent.
If your student does not have a medical provider or is without medical insurance: Both Berkeley County Health Department and Shenandoah Community Health Center give vaccines by appointment for students in these situations.

October 30- Halloween Dance 6-7:30pm
October 31- PBIS Reward trip for 7th and 8th grades
November 11- No School for staff and students
November 12- 2-hour delay for students- Teacher Prep Day
November 14- Fall Pictures Make-Ups
