Dear Staff and Families,

As we close out the first week of the new school year and head into the holiday weekend, I want to thank our students, families, and staff for their patience, flexibility, and support.

This was certainly not the start to the school year we envisioned. Yet throughout the week, our schools remained focused on welcoming our students back, supporting one another, and continuing teaching and learning.

Despite the challenges presented by the ongoing phone and network disruption, our classrooms and hallways have been filled with energy, learning, laughter, and the excitement of reconnecting with people after the summer break. I am especially grateful to our administrators, teachers, and support staff for the flexibility, care, and steady leadership they have demonstrated throughout the week.

In challenging circumstances, we may not always have every answer immediately or be able to provide the level of detail you desire. Our goal is to remain grounded in the facts and communicate clearly and responsibly. We will continue to prioritize accuracy over speculation as this work moves forward.

Our work to address the ongoing disruption will continue throughout the holiday weekend, with our team remaining actively engaged alongside the external experts supporting these efforts. While I do not want to speculate about progress before it is confirmed, I expect to have additional information to share as we prepare to return next week.

If significant developments arise that require immediate communication, we will share them promptly. Otherwise, I will provide our next community update on Monday evening.

I also want to acknowledge the many members of our community who have reached out with words of encouragement, appreciation, understanding, and support. Those messages have meant a great deal to our team and are another reminder of the strength of this community.

Thank you for your continued patience, trust, and partnership. I hope everyone has an opportunity this weekend to slow down, spend time with family and friends, and recharge after an eventful first week.

Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.
