Hello Graham Families!

Our Candy Collection Contest is really heating up, and the excitement is growing! We are getting close to 40,000 pieces of candy! WOW! Thank you so much to all of our Graham families for your generous contributions so far. We truly appreciate your support in making this such a fun event for our students! Be sure to check out the current classroom standings later in this newsletter to see who is in the lead. There is still time for classrooms to make a comeback!

We also have some exciting Trunk or Treat events coming up! Our WWCSD Board Office will be hosting a Trunk or Treat for students and their families on October 20th at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Office parking lot on Marquette Street.

And don't forget about our very own Graham Trunk or Treat on October 28th at 6:00 p.m.! We can't wait to see our Huskies dressed up and enjoying a fun evening with their families!

Our candy collection is going great! Our goal is to have at least 80,000 pieces of candy for our Trunk or Treat. We still have lots of time to send in more bags.

GOOD THINGS: We practice GOOD THINGS every day here at school. We spend about 3-5 minutes sharing these things to start our days. You could practice this at home as well! Ask your child to share some GOOD THINGS that happened at school every day and then you share some GOOD THINGS about your day as well.

Our school was chosen to have an assembly with the Ringling Bros. Circus!!! We are so excited for this!!! They have offered our school district special pricing for tickets if you are interested in taking your family to LCA to see the show.

We have started making calls to those families that have students with three or more absences. We want to be sure that there is a solid plan in place for getting your child to school and on time every day. We will also be sending home a packet of information about the importance of being in school every day as well as another attendance tracker and a success plan.

If you need help with getting your child to school everyday, we will be happy to meet with you! Please reach out to myself or our attendance secretary Ms. Kearney at kearneye@wwcsd.net

Snack cart will be available every TUESDAY and FRIDAY during all lunch periods. The 5th grade students run this to support their CAMP FUNDS. Young 5 and Kindergarten students get the SNACK CART in the morning instead of at lunch time.

There are some days when the menu could possibly change due to food items not being available. We will let the students know if there are changes as soon as we find out.

PLEASE fill out a background check if you plan to volunteer at ALL this year in your child's classroom or on a field trip. THIS MUST BE DONE EVERY YEAR!!!! We cannot accept background checks from LAST school year.
