The Dawg Dispatch

January 16, 2026
The Dawg Dispatch is our weekly snapshot of life as a Bulldawg, straight facts, clear wins, and what’s next, so families and staff can pull in the same direction. It reflects our mission:
“The mission of the Aberdeen School District is to inspire ALL students to become problem-solvers, lifelong learners, and productive members of society.”
Happy 100th Day of School! 🐾
Today marks 100 days of learning, growth, and determination across our district. From our students to our teachers and staff, every day has been a step forward, and the best is yet to come.
Here’s to finishing the year strong and continuing to build on the solid foundation already in place.
Bulldawgs in Action - School Spotlight
4-H students had a fantastic time learning with Ms. Kayla
They explored the new food pyramid and learned how to make healthy, balanced nutrition choices every day. Experiences like this help students build strong foundations for lifelong healthy habits.
Way to go, Aberdeen Elementary! 🐾
🌱 Aberdeen Elementary School's Garden Club Is Growing Strong! 🌱
The Aberdeen Elementary Garden Learners and Experts have been hard at work—and truly learning to blossom! With our AES Dirt Squad rules in full effect, students have laid the foundation for growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
Our garden learners teamed up to assemble six raised garden beds, then took on the big job of filling them with soil, no small task! 💪🌱
Thursday, students learned about dormant fruit trees and took the next exciting step by planting blackberry and blueberry bushes. Even more special, they planted two apple trees grown from seeds by Mrs. Lenoir.
Our Garden Club is thrilled to grow, learn, and blossom together.
👉 Keep an eye out as our garden continues to grow! 🐾
Aberdeen Elementary’s Book Blast is off to a great start! 📚
Congratulations to Kelsey Sacus for winning Aberdeen Elementary's first drawing prize, the Book Blast Treasure Chest! Our quest to level up our readers has never been more fun.
We’re blasting through our mission to earn as many books as possible for our students. Register now and invite 10 or more contacts to be entered into upcoming Treasure Chest drawings.
Let’s keep the momentum going and put more books in the hands of our students! 🐾

That kind of dedication shows exactly what happens when hard work and #BulldawgPride come together.
Keep turning those pages, scholars, you’re building habits that last a lifetime. 💙

January Mental Health Awareness e-Tip 🧠 Week 2 : Prevent Burnout Before It Starts (Burnout Prevention)
Burnout builds quietly. Pay attention to signs such as fatigue, irritability, or feeling overwhelmed. Reach out early to a school nurse, administrator, or colleague. Early support helps prevent exhaustion and extended time away from work.
Connection: Early intervention reduces burnout-related absences.
🎓 Wednesdays Are for College Pride!
Every Wednesday, we encourage students and staff to wear college shirts! Why? Because seeing those college names and logos reminds our students that higher education is possible for them, whether it’s a school close to home or one across the country. It’s a simple way to spark conversations, plant dreams, and keep students motivated toward their future goals. Let’s show them that the road to college starts right here in Bulldawg Country!
💙🐾 Give a Bulldawg a Compliment! 🐾💙
We love celebrating the positive spirit in our district! Take a moment to lift up a student, staff member, or community member by sharing a kind word through our “Give a Bulldawg a Compliment” form.
Plan ahead, Bulldawgs! Here’s what’s coming up next week!
