Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!

As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we appreciate your partnership in helping us prepare for a successful start!

Kindergarten Enrollment is Open!

If you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten next year — or if you know neighbors, friends, or community members with incoming Kindergarten students — we encourage families to enroll as soon as possible. Early enrollment helps us plan staffing and classroom supports to best meet student needs.

Intent to Return Forms

Thank you to the many families who have already completed their Intent to Return forms. Your responses are incredibly helpful as we begin planning class placements and staffing for next year. If you have not yet completed your form, please do so as soon as possible.

Parent Input for Class Placement

Families are welcome to share information about the type of learning environment in which their child is most successful. While we are not able to accept specific teacher requests, we value input about your child’s learning style, social-emotional needs, and classroom environment preferences as we thoughtfully create balanced classrooms for next year. Please send input emails to the Cherrydale office at cherrydaleoffice@steilacoom.k12.wa.us by Friday, June 12th.

Around the School

Our 1st and 2nd graders had an unforgettable adventure at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Students explored amazing animal exhibits and enjoyed hands-on educational experiences.

We are especially grateful to Kiwanis and the Cherrydale PTA for fully funding our 2nd graders’ field trip experience. Their continued generosity and support make opportunities like this possible for our students and school community.
