Weybridge MUMS Families: Please note that your student(s) will now use bus 18 as the transfer shuttle from MUMS to MUHS in the afternoon, not Bus 11. The MUMS team will assist with this change at dismissal time but it may be helpful to mention the new transfer bus number as well. (Was 11, is now 18)
Back to School/curriculum information nights: The K/1 Back to School night was well attended and so fun to witness. The students were bursting with excitement to share their classroom and work with their families. They definitely own their space. The 2/3 information night is this coming Thursday, 10/1, 5:30-6:30.
Common Room/Boiler Room/Kitchen: Work to dry all the areas is still underway and likely to continue through Saturday. The base of all the walls in the Common Room and adjoining closets have been opened up. The kitchen, the pantry, and the boiler are also in deconstructive mode and drying out. Once the spaces are dried, it will likely take 2-3 weeks to replace walls and get everything back into place. I am so grateful that Steve Marinelli, ACSD food coordinator, discovered the leak Monday afternoon. If it had gone unchecked until Tuesday, the damage would have been much greater.
I also want to shout out Shavonne Kitchens, who has done an amazing job of getting meals to us. She’s working out of a very chaotic, noisy space at this point and has done so gracefully.
Lunch volunteers: Unfortunately, we won’t be needing volunteers for at least this next week. We miss you and hope to be back to our usual service soon.
From Glenna Piper - Join us for “A Step Back In Time”: We will be redoing the Quaker Village Walking Tour on Saturday September 26, 2026 at 10:00am. Please meet at the Weybridge Town Clerk’s office, for a walking tour to learn the history of the Quaker Village area in the 1800’s. Please register by calling or texting 802-349-8171.
Have a lovely weekend.
Please email me cjohnston@acsdvt.org or call if you have any questions (802-545-3301),
Best, Christina
