THE BEAR ESSENTIALS
Week of December 8, 2025
Hello, Bear Families
We are officially at the ten more wakeups countdown. A well-deserved break is right around the corner, and while these days can feel long, your support and partnership make a real difference for our students.
This is a great time to check Parent Connect to see how your student is progressing. If you have any questions about assignments, grades, or classroom expectations, please reach out to your child's teachers. Families can send an email or contact teachers through Parent Square. Staying connected now helps everyone stay on track and ensures students know what still needs attention.
We continue to encourage communication between home and school. A simple conversation can make a big impact in helping students feel supported and stay accountable.
Let us finish these ten wakeups strong. Thank you for your continued involvement, your care, and your commitment to your students' success.
Go Bears!

Seal of Biliteracy
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award created to recognize seniors who have attained proficiency in two or more languages. It highlights the value of bilingualism and celebrates multiculturalism. Students who earn the Seal of Biliteracy will receive a special seal to place on their diploma, along with a certificate, a letter from the state, and a medal acknowledging their accomplishment. To be eligible, 12th grade students must be on track to meet graduation requirements and take an online assessment in a language other than English to demonstrate their proficiency. The testing date is to be determined. If you are interested or would like more information, please see Ms. Fowler in the 2nd floor robotics lab or send an email to fowlerm@wy.k12.mi.us to receive the permission form due by December 12.

WAAC Club is Looking for Participants
The WAAC club is looking for more participants for our exchange this school year to Marchfield, MA, near Boston. World as a Community (WAAC) is an exchange program at RHS. An exchange involves a student traveling to a host city and staying with a host student for 3-4 days and attending school with them for a day. During the stay, the student will experience their host's culture through touring their city's landmarks and museums. The students from the host school will then travel to Wyandotte and we will show them the same hospitality.
